Web and digital services from FAITH Catholic

Goal-centered Project management

Our award-winning staff creates custom websites for Catholic dioceses, schools, organizations and apostolates that clearly reflect the mission and ministry of each institution. We use your input to generate a custom-designed website that achieves your goals. Our high standards for customer service and satisfaction mean we are committed to meeting your schedule and timeline. We take pride in our ability to turn a project around quickly, with accuracy and excellence.

Design

Our unique website development process offers three versions of your site, enabling you to participate fully as your site is built. A development version for programmers is used for critical updates, a sandbox version allows clients to edit and train on the site without risk, and a productive or "live" version brings it all together for the web.

Customization

With our Content Management Systems (CMS), we can customize every website to suit our clients' unique needs and goals. Features include:
  • A secure site (https)
  • Calendars
  • News and Events (feeds)
  • Social Media (feeds)
  • Image galleries with featured images
  • Secure administrator log-ins
  • Staff directories
  • Interactive location maps
... and more!

Website hosting and
maintenance

All of our hosting and maintenance packages include feature updates to the Content Management System, as well as updates to custom code and any customized modules on your site. We also provide unlimited access to our team for support. Beyond that, our service plans offer graphic design, banners, image editing, content changes and priority turnaround. Finally, FAITH Catholic can act as your webmaster and provide full-service website support.

FAITH Catholic Web and Digital Media's knowledge of website trends and understanding of the challenges of managing content for a diocesan website have been invaluable resources for us. In addition to providing prompt support and advice on best practices, they’ve been able to share their experience of what has (and hasn’t) worked for other dioceses they’ve served. When we’ve needed new tools or functionality to help with specific content needs, they’ve always been responsive and delivered solutions that work.

FULL-SERVICE DIGITAL PUBLISHING IS AS SIMPLE AS 1-2-3!

1. A custom website updated regularly with your new content

What does it mean to publish a magazine digitally? In the past, readers received a link to a "flip book" edition of a magazine that approximated the experience of flipping through a print publication. Today, readers expect to find magazine content on a website, where every story is searchable by publication date, author, subject matter and theme. FAITH's web and digital team is helping publishers to bring their content to an online platform that gives readers access to current stories, as well as archived material from past issues. A content website from FAITH Catholic is the future of digital publishing — creating an ongoing, evergreen resource that helps build disciples for Jesus and his Church!

2. A regular e-newsletter for your subscribers

Building a digital audience means connecting with people in a variety of ways. Nothing is more effective than email to build a digital audience. That's why FAITH has developed an e-news product that enables clients to engage with readers via email, directing them to a content website and allowing them to read, enjoy and share content with family and friends. This is what it means to be a content evangelist! Plus, by growing an email list, dioceses and Catholic organizations can learn more about what readers want and how to keep them engaged. FAITH's digital editors can create your regular e-newsletter and assist you in staying connected with your digital audience.

3. Consistent social media driving traffic to your site

Dioceses and Catholic organizations work hard to engage with followers in the social media space, but it's difficult to create a consistent presence in social media that engages people and helps them take the next step — clicking through to see your content. FAITH's digital editors can create a monthly social calendar with customized posts to drive traffic to your content site and help grow your digital audience.

Case study: Launching a digital strategy in the Diocese of Lansing

Picture
The challenge: Build a digital audience for the diocese to reach Catholics who are not involved with their faith, as well as people in the diocese who are unaffiliated with any faith but are spiritual seekers.

The strategy:
  • Focus the main diocesan website on Catholics who are engaged with their faith and their parishes (the "core").
  • Revamp the diocesan magazine's  website as a content site for spiritual seekers and Catholics looking for information, inspiration, and education in becoming disciples.
  • Adopt a corresponding digital plan using a weekly diocesan E-newsletter and daily social posts to drive traffic to the content site. Include a pop-up to gather more visitor emails.
  • Consider putting ad dollars behind the effort to build the E-news list, thus expanding the diocese's reach across the diocese.

The outcome: E-newletter sent to nearly 40,000 recipients each week with an average open rate of 20% and click-throughs of 5%, well above the averages for similar content. In the first year of the new content site's launch, new users increased by 89%. Even without paid advertising, engagement with the site and its social platforms continues to grow organically.
